13th-20th July 2026

Ćao Montenegro!

A week designed to show you three sides of Montenegro: lake life, mountain air and the Adriatic coast, all without rushing through any of it. It’s active, social, scenic, full of great food and paced in a way that fun, not frantic.

This is Montenegro at its best.

Explore trips are for people who want to get stuck in without being dragged around. You get real experiences, normal pacing and comfortable places to stay, with enough time to actually enjoy each spot before moving on. Perfect for not needing to live out of a bag!

This one starts gentle, ramps up a little in the mountains and settles again on the coast. A smooth rise and fall that makes the whole week feel envigorating, without the need for a holiday after the holiday.

The Route

Day 1. Welcome to Montenegro

Arrive into Montenegro and transfer to Eco-Resort Cermeniza, perched above Skadar Lake. Check in, unwind by the pool or explore the countryside by bike. In the evening, meet your group for a vineyard walk, winery tour and a relaxed welcome dinner featuring local dishes, Montenegrin wines and traditional brandies.

Day 2. Skadar Lake cruise and birdwatching

This morning we head out on a peaceful boat cruise across Skadar Lake, one of Europe’s richest bird habitats. Glide past lily pads and wetlands while spotting pelicans, cormorants and more. Afterwards, visit Besac Fortress and its Wine Museum, followed by a light lunch overlooking the lake. The afternoon is free back at the eco-resort to rest, swim or explore. Optional dinner on site.

Day 3. Tara Canyon to Durmitor

A scenic drive north takes us deep into the mountains, stopping at the dramatic Đurđevića Tara Bridge. For those keen on adventure, enjoy rafting through the Tara Canyon’s turquoise waters; non-rafters explore glacial lakes and panoramic viewpoints instead. We regroup in Žabljak for dinner at a local restaurant and settle into our mountain hotel.

Day 4. Durmitor Three Lakes trail

An easy guided hike introduces us to the beauty of Durmitor National Park. Forest paths lead to Barno Lake, Zminje Lake and iconic Black Lake, framed by rugged peaks. Lunch is served beside the water before a free afternoon back in Žabljak. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5. Royal Montenegro to the coast

We travel south through Montenegro’s royal heartland, beginning with a walking tour of historic Cetinje. In Njeguši, enjoy a traditional prosciutto tasting and lunch, followed by a ride on the Lovćen cable car for sweeping views. By late afternoon, we descend to the coast, staying either in Kotor Old Town or near Kamenari, with dinner included.

Day 6. Bay of Kotor by sea

After a stroll through glamorous Porto Montenegro, we board private boats to explore the Bay of Kotor. Visit Our Lady of the Rocks, wander the streets of Perast, and enjoy a long lunch by the water. Return to the coast for a slow evening and optional waterfront dinner.

Day 7. Easy coastal day and farewell dinnerA free day to enjoy the coast at your own pace - café hopping, beach time, old town wandering or optional kayaking, cycling or a climb up San Giovanni Fortress for panoramic views. In the evening, we come together for a special farewell dinner in a scenic seaside setting.

Day 8. Departures
Breakfast, a last coffee by the sea and private transfers to the airport.

Who You'll Be Here With

A small, easygoing group of people in their 30s and 40s who’ve stopped waiting for their mates to commit and decided to book something good for themselves.

Most come solo, one or two bring a friend, but everyone ends up on the same wavelength quickly - relaxed, friendly and here for a great trip without any of the awkward bits.

There’s no forced bonding, no games, no “tell us a fun fact about yourself.” (thing like that give us the ick!) Just normal people who like travelling, good food and days that feel well planned without being over‑planned.

Conversations feel natural, dinners feel easy, and by the end it usually feels more like travelling with new mates than joining a tour.
